Obituary for Francis M Palumbo

Francis ("Frankie') M. Palumbo of Naples, Fl, formerly of Mountainside, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at the age of 33. Frankie was born on June 17, 1985, in New Brunswick, NJ, to Theresa M. Mills-Palumbo and Frank M. Palumbo. He leaves behind his parents, Theresa and Frank, his partner in crime Aunt Pat (Patricia Copeland-Tevis, husband Don), Aunt Peggy Costa, Aunt Mara Capps (Brandon), Uncle Martin Palumbo (Sue) and Uncle Daniel Palumbo (Joanne). He was predeceased by his grandparents Fannie and Chester Mills, Margaret and Steve Kostas, Patrick Palumbo (Gale Goldman-Palumbo, living) and his Uncle Patrick Palumbo. He is also survived by his dear cousins, Erin Giambrone (Sal) and their daughter Ella, Stephen Copeland (Rosemarie) and their sons Stephen and Maximiliano, Alisa Fundara (James), Michael Palumbo, Christopher Palumbo, Daniel Palumbo, Cara Palumbo, Sam Palumbo and Russell Capps.

Frankie lived most of his life in Mountainside, NJ, graduated Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, NJ, and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts. After graduating college, his work in television production took him all over the country and abroad where he met and maintained lifelong friendships that meant so much to him. Frankie had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way and so many of his cherished friends considered him to be their "best friend." His sense of humor, devilish smile and good hearted teasing will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Words can not express the sadness that so many who loved him are now feeling; he is cherished and will be missed forever.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, March 28th from 6:00-9:00 PM at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue West, Cranford, NJ, followed by a Mass on Friday, March 29th at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes, 300 Central Avenue, Mountainside, NJ.
