Obituary for Mark Williams

Mark H. Williams, born February 9, 1951, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 29, 2019 after an arduous and courageous battle with chronic health issues. His fighting spirit represents the passion with which he lived his life and loved his family. Mark was born in Kingston, Jamaica where he attended Excelsior High School. He was awarded his bachelor’s degree from Baruch College of City University of New York.

In 1972, he immigrated to attend college and reunited with his beloved mother, Mary in New York. Mark was the elder of two children, born to Mr. And Mrs. Bhiya Williams. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janet Williams, their two devoted daughters, Kimberley Ciliberti and Amanda Williams, two grandchildren, the loves of his life, Victoria and Vincenzo Ciliberti, his sister, Jennifer Hoyes and his nieces, Candice and Suzanne Hoyes.

He is cherished for his generous heart, quick- witted humor and passion for sharing his wisdom. Mark’s spirit will be present by the lessons he learned in life, which have been imparted to his close family, friends, and loved ones. He will be remembered as a strong-willed, charismatic, and engaging man. May God bless him and keep his spirt alive as he rests in peace.

Friends are invited to visit 6-8 PM Wednesday at the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave. West in Cranford. Entombment will be in Florida at a later date.
