Obituary for Catherine DiFabio

Catherine Di Fabio(Caliendo) 87, of Warren NJ, passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2019. Born and raised in Cranford NJ, she graduated from Cranford High School in 1949. Catherine ventured out into the working world and married fellow Cranford alum Dominick Di Fabio in 1953. They lived in Roselle NJ and moved to Cranford in 1965, where they raised three daughters. She returned to work years later and was a beloved employee of IFA insurance company for many years.

Catherine was an avid reader and enjoyed playing cards and scrabble. She loved the Yankees, especially her Derrick Jeter. She also loved to sing and dance. Frank Sinatra was her favorite. She enjoyed traveling and visited places such as Italy and even China at age 80. Catherine was a strong, loving, selfless woman and her family was everything to her. She will be missed by her many friends and family.

Catherine is survived by her husband Dominick, her daughters; Donna Lee, Anita and husband Russell Wells, Linda Caminiti and also by her Grandchildren; Amanda and husband Keith Miller, Carly and husband Jeffrey Karinja, Cassie Caminiti, MIchael Caminiti , Nicolas Rodriquez and her Great Granddaughter, Vivian Miller.

A Memorial visitation will be held Friday, April 19th at Dooley Funeral Home, Cranford NJ from 3:30 pm-6:30 pm, with a short prayer service at 6 pm. Interment on Saturday April 20th at 10:30, St Gertrudes Cemetery, Colonia NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to St Judes Childrens Hospital.
